“The Shetland Pony Society of North America has been formed:

-          to encourage the breeding of Shetland ponies which reflect the

    ancestral qualities of the traditional Shetland ponies;

-          to support breed shows which promote the traditional Shetland pony’s breed characteristics and qualities;

-          to maintain a Shetland Pony Registry which defines the type and pedigree described in the breed standards established by this society;

-          to promote educational opportunities which encourage the safe and enjoyable use of the Shetland ponies by adults and children for pleasure, showing, and breeding purposes.”

ALERT – The 7/12/08 St. Albans Benefit Shetland Show

 has been postponed. The tentative rescheduled date is set for 9/13/08.

All Prize Lists  and Entry Forms  are now available for all 2008 Shows,

except the Maryland State Fair.
